Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) BALIKPAPAN
The Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) was born and developed in the city of Balikpapan as an important port city directly facing the Makassar Strait area. PIP Balikpapan was confirmed by the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 589/E/O/2014 dated 17 October 2014.

"To become a university that creates a cadre of commercial shipping officers who are reliable, professional and have noble character in accordance with Pancasila values for the progress of the nation"
MISSION
Carry out education and training in the field of Shipping according to National and International Standards; Carry out scientific research in the shipping industry and community service;
Carry out the development of mental attitude, morals and ability to students;
Improving the professionalism of human resources in the Polytechnic of Shipping Sciences in supporting the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education;
Realizing educational and training facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the development of science and technology;
Carry out transparent and accountable financial management.
